Utsav Caterer

Our place is located at 47/C on Balaram Mazumdar Street. If you know the Sovabazar area, it’s right in that part of town called Hatkhola. It’s an old part of Kolkata with a lot of history in the narrow lanes. Utsav Caterer has been operating from this building for quite some time now. The street gets crowded during festivals, which is typical for this side of the city. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the daily routine here. It’s not a big corporate office or anything like that. Just a regular spot where the work happens. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, but that’s just how it is in Sovabazar. We have our neighbors close by and everyone knows each other on Balaram Mazumdar Street. The building itself is older, which fits in with the rest of Hatkhola. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people find us because they live nearby or have walked past 47/C many times. It’s a busy neighborhood and we are just one part of it. We keep things simple and try to stay organized in the space we have. It’s a bit cramped at times when there’s a lot going on, but we make it work. Working in an area like Sovabazar keeps you on your toes because of all the activity around. We like being in this part of the city. It is just our little corner here for work.
