Coloniel Gourmet

This is just us working out of Flat No. 5 over at 9/1 Ekbalpur Lane. It is an older part of Kolkata, and the lane itself can get pretty crowded with people and traffic most days. We handle food-related things here, which is why we called it Coloniel Gourmet, though we aren't a big restaurant or a famous shop. It is more of a small-scale operation that we run. We spend a lot of our time in the kitchen area or dealing with different ingredients we have delivered. Being located in a flat means we don't have a big storefront with bright lights or a sign. You really have to know where 9/1 is to find us. We actually like it that way because it stays a bit quieter while we are busy working. The smell of whatever we happen to be cooking usually drifts out into the hallway and the rest of the building. Kolkata weather is often tough, especially when the humidity gets high, but we just keep at it. We aren't into any of that fancy marketing talk or promotional stuff. We just make the food we make and hope that people enjoy it. Most of our day is spent prepping vegetables or checking on current orders. It is a lot of manual work and standing on our feet. We have some basic kitchen equipment and a lot of focus, even if the space is a little bit tight. We just do our best every day.
