Trans World Marketing Co.

Our place is at 39/1/1, Kalighat Road. It’s a busy stretch of road and finding our door can be a little tricky the first time because of the way the numbers are set up. Trans World Marketing Co. is a small operation. We have a front room where we keep most of the paperwork and a back area that we use for storage. The walls are painted a pale green that's started to peel in the corners. We’ve got an old ceiling fan that makes a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving on those hot afternoons. Most days, we are just busy with the phone or sorting through the mail that comes in. There’s a tea shop just a few doors down, so we spend a lot of time there talking to the other shop owners. It’s not a fancy business district, just a regular street with a lot of history. We have a few old wooden chairs for visitors, though they aren't very comfortable for long sits. The floor is red oxide and shows the wear from years of people walking in and out. We don't really do much in the way of decorating. There’s a calendar on the wall from three years ago that nobody bothered to take down because we like the picture on it. It’s just us doing our work in a part of town we’ve grown very familiar with over the years. We usually lock up the front gate right at closing time.
