Kolkata Leather Craft

You can find our workshop at 25/2 Topsia Road. Topsia is the heart of the leather world in this city, and we have been right here in the middle of it for years. Kolkata Leather Craft is a small operation. We don't have a big glass front or a receptionist. You just walk in and see the guys working with the skins. The air always smells like salt and chemicals from the tanning process nearby. Topsia Road is a busy, noisy place with trucks and rickshaws constantly moving. We spend our time cutting, stitching, and finishing leather pieces. It is hard on the hands and the eyes. We don't have a fancy story about why we started. We just knew how to work with leather and needed a place to do it. Some days the orders are piling up and we work late under the fluorescent lights. Other days are a bit slower and we spend time cleaning the tools. We are not a big brand that you see on billboards. We are just a local workshop. People come to us because they know where we are and they know what they are getting. It is a bit dusty and the floors are never really clean, but that is just how a real workshop is. We are just simple people doing a job we know.
