S. G. Leather Works Fabrication

S. G. Leather Works Fabrication is up on the second floor at 5 A/ C Topsia 2nd Lane. It’s a bit of a climb, especially when we’re moving heavy leather hides up those stairs. The building is right near the school, so you can hear the kids playing during their recess. That’s how we tell the time sometimes without looking at a clock. We work with different types of leather, cutting and fabricating pieces all day long. The smell of leather is pretty strong when you first walk in, but we don't really notice it anymore after being here so long. There are tools everywhere, needles, hammers, and scraps of thread on the floor. It’s not a big space, but we use every inch of it. The windows stay open to let some air in while we work. We’ve been in Topsia for a bit and know the neighbors. It’s a busy lane, lots of people moving back and forth with their own errands. On the second floor, we get a bit of a breeze which helps when the sun is out. It’s mostly just the sound of the machines and the radio playing in the corner. We focus on getting the fabrication right. It’s hard work on the hands, but it’s what we do. Not much else to say about it, really. Just a local shop making things out of leather day by day.
