If you head down to 75 Topsia Road, you'll find the Anuschka workspace there. Topsia is a busy, industrial kind of place, and our building fits right in with the rest of them. It’s a bit of an older structure, but it’s sturdy and gives us all the space we need for the work we do. There’s always something going on in this neighborhood, with carts being pushed by and the sound of metal hitting metal from the shops nearby. Inside our place, it’s a lot of focus and quiet work. We have people who have been with us for years, sitting at their benches and working on the fine details. The floor is concrete and can get a bit cold in the winter, but we don't mind much once we get started. We have big windows that let in some light, but they’re usually a bit dusty from the street outside. We keep a small stove in the back to heat up lunch or make some tea for everyone. It’s not a showroom or anything fancy; it’s a place where things are made by hand. You can see the wear and tear on the workbenches from all the years of use. We just show up every morning, do the work, and then lock up the heavy gates when the day is over and the sun starts setting over the road.
