Tefl International School, (Berhampore Branch)

Our school is situated on the first floor of P-28 Tagore Park in Kolkata. It’s a branch of the Tefl International School system, and we focus on training people here in the city. The area around Tagore Park is generally okay for finding us, though you have to look for the right floor once you get to the building. We’ve been here for a while, helping people who want to learn how to teach English. It’s not a huge campus with a playground or anything; it’s more of a professional training center set up in a regular building. Inside, we have rooms for our classes and a small area where the staff sits to handle the administration. We spend most of our time going through lessons and working with the trainees who come in from different parts of Kolkata and sometimes further away. The pace can be quite steady, especially when a new group starts their course. We don't really do much in the way of big events; we just stick to our schedule and make sure the students have what they need to study. It can get a bit humid in the building during the monsoon months, but we just keep the fans going and get on with the day. The staff is a small group of people who know their way around the teaching materials. It’s a practical place for learning and we don't try to be anything else. We just open up in the morning and get to work.
