Niva Ananda Vidyalaya

Our school is located at 92 D.D. Mondal Ghat Road, right in the Dakshineswar area. Being so close to the river and the temple means there's always a certain feeling in the air. We’ve been here for quite some time now. It’s not one of those massive private schools with glass walls. It’s a traditional building where we teach the local kids. You can hear the sounds of the street and the temple bells sometimes during classes. We have a few classrooms and a small area for the students to gather. The staff here are mostly local people who care about the neighborhood. We don't have a big marketing budget or flashy advertisements. Most parents know us because their older children or their neighbors' kids came here. It’s a very grounded place. We focus on the basics of education without all the extra noise you see in modern schools. The building has seen many years, and it has that old Kolkata charm, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint now and then. We just try to provide a decent place for children to learn. It’s a busy road outside, so we always have to watch the kids when they leave. It’s just a normal, everyday school doing its thing for the community.
