Katurva Gandhi Girls School Alirajpur

This girls' school is located at 243/D on A P C Road. If you know Kolkata, you know how busy APC Road can get with all the buses and cars. We are right in the middle of that hustle. The school building is quite old and has a lot of character, though it could probably use a fresh coat of paint if we ever find the time. We have students coming in from different parts of the city. It’s a girls' school, so we try to keep a safe and steady environment for them. The classrooms are basic with standard desks and chairs. We don't have a big fancy campus. We just use the space we have as best as we can. The teachers arrive early to beat the traffic and we stay until the last student is picked up. There’s always a lot of paperwork to do, just like any other school. We don't have any special programs or high-end facilities. It is just a place where girls come to get their education. You can hear the city noise all day, but we’ve gotten used to it. Sometimes the power goes out and we just open the windows wider. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We focus on the syllabus and making sure the girls are prepared for their tests. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood, really.
