You can find us at 46/1 C/1 A on B T Road in Kolkata. If you know North Kolkata, you know that B T Road is one of the main veins of the city. It’s always moving, always noisy, and full of buses and taxis. Our school is situated right in the middle of all that energy. It is a public school that caters to the families living in this part of the city. The building is an older structure, typical for this neighborhood, and it has a lot of character. We don't have the massive playgrounds you see in the suburbs because space is tight here. Instead, we make use of what we have. The rooms are high-ceilinged and keep relatively cool even when the humidity in Kolkata gets really bad. Every morning, the street outside is a chaos of parents dropping off their kids before they head to work. It’s a lively place to be. We have been here through many seasons, watching the city change around us. The staff here are used to the rhythm of B T Road. We focus on the basics of education without any of the fancy extras that some of the newer schools talk about. It is an honest place where kids from the local blocks come to study. It might be loud outside, but inside we try to keep things focused on the books. We have been a part of this busy street for quite a long time now.
