Katurva Gandhi Girls School Bhanpur

This is a school for girls located in the Manicktala area of Kolkata. You will find us on Hari Gosh Street. This is a very old part of the city, and the streets are quite tight. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so there is a lot of life happening right outside our doors. The school is dedicated to providing a place for girls to study. We have been in this building for a long time. It’s a typical Manicktala house that was converted into a school many years ago. The rooms are a bit small and the hallways can be dark, but it’s a safe space for the students. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a big sports field. Most of our activities happen in the classrooms or the small courtyard we have. The location is very central, which makes it easy for families living in the 700006 pin code area to get their daughters here. There’s a certain rhythm to the day on Hari Gosh Street, from the morning milk deliveries to the evening markets. Our school is just one part of that daily cycle.
