Tapan Stores

Tapan Stores is located over in Sasati Bazar. If you live in Shyampur or around Howrah, you probably know the area well. It's on the main Shyampur Road. I’ve been working here for years, and it’s mostly just a regular routine every day. We get our supplies delivered, put them on the shelves, and wait for customers to come in. It gets really dusty sometimes because of all the trucks passing by on the road outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. We aren't trying to be the biggest store around, just a place where you can get what you need without a fuss. The building itself is older, but it holds everything we need for the business. Sometimes we run out of things, and people have to wait a few days for the next delivery. That's just how it goes here in the market. Most of our customers are locals who are out buying vegetables or meat in the bazar. They stop in for a bit of a chat and to pick up a few items. It's not a polished place with bright lights and music. It’s just a shop. We keep the doors open as long as there are people walking around. My family helps out when it gets busy during the festive seasons. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop in Howrah. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us busy and connected.
