Swapna Variety Store

Swapna Variety Store is in Krishnapur, specifically the Mandalpara area. We are under the Milanbazar post office and the Baguiati police station. It’s a residential area mostly. Our store is a place where neighbors come to pick up various items. We call it a variety store because we don't just stick to one thing. You can find stationery, small toys, household items, and some snacks too. The store isn't huge. It’s part of a small building. We try to keep it neat, but with so many different types of products, it can look a bit busy. We have been part of the Mandalpara community for a while. Everyone knows us. We see the kids growing up and coming in for their school supplies. It’s a nice feeling. We don't have any big sales tactics. We just put the prices on things and people buy what they need. Sometimes we sit outside on a bench when it's quiet. Krishnapur can be busy, but our street is usually okay. We open early so people can get things before they head out for work or school. If we don't have something, we try to get it for the next time the customer comes. We don't have any fancy signs, just the name Swapna Variety Store above the door. It’s a simple way to make a living and we like it here. Sometimes we get a bit of help from our cousins when a big shipment of notebooks or plastic goods arrives. It takes a few hours to get everything sorted and priced manually.
