We are over at 14 Seal Lane in the Tangra area. It is a busy part of town with a lot of narrow streets and people moving around all day. The school is a familiar sight to anyone who lives on this lane. The building is quite old and looks its age. You can see the wear on the stone steps leading up to the entrance. We have many rooms, some smaller than others. The windows are large to let in the air because it gets quite stuffy during the summer months. We have a specific rhythm to our days. The bells are loud and can be heard right down the street. We see a lot of the same families year after year. Brothers and sisters follow each other through the grades. The teachers know the local shops and where to get the best snacks during their break. We have a small space for the kids to play, which is mostly just a paved area. It is very noisy when they are out there for recess. Inside, we have maps on the walls and shelves full of old registers. We do not have much in the way of high-tech equipment. It is mostly just paper, pens, and a lot of talking. There is a small shop around the corner where the older students sometimes try to sneak off to, but we keep an eye on the gate. We just keep the school running as best we can.
