St Paul'S K G & Day School

St Paul'S K G & Day School is tucked away at 16/1 A Ram Kanto Bose Street. It’s a narrow street, like many in this part of town, and it gets quite busy with people walking and the odd rickshaw going by. Our school is mainly for the younger ones, the kindergarten age kids, plus we have the day school. It’s a lively place because little kids don't stay quiet for very long. You can hear them singing or playing games from out on the street sometimes. The building isn't huge, so we have to use every bit of space we have. We’ve got colorful drawings taped to the walls and toys scattered around the play area. The staff here are mostly local ladies who have a lot of patience. We don't have any big mission statements or complicated philosophies. We just look after the children while their parents are at work. It feels a bit like a big family sometimes, especially when we’re all sitting down for a snack. Ram Kanto Bose Street is a place where everyone knows each other, so we get a lot of neighbors stopping by to say hello. It’s a bit messy at the end of the day with all the art supplies, but we clean it up and start again the next morning. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day.
