Sreeram'S Wood Gallery

We have our wood gallery set up at 51 Chittaranjan Avenue. If you are familiar with this road, you know it is one of the big, famous ones in the city with a lot of history and very old architecture. Our gallery is right on the ground level, so it is very easy for people to just step inside when they are walking by on the sidewalk. Once you are inside, you will see it is mostly just wood everywhere. We have different kinds of pieces on display, but it is not set up like a museum or a fancy store. It is really just how we store and show our stock to anyone who is interested. The walls are very high, and it can get a bit of an echo inside when there are not many people around. We usually have a couple of us working way in the back, maybe sanding a piece down or just checking on the inventory. The traffic noise from Chittaranjan Avenue can be quite loud during the day, but once you step inside the gallery, it feels a lot calmer. We do not really go in for big sales pitches or anything like that. If someone sees a piece of wood or a finished item they like, they just tell us and we sit down to figure out the details. We spend a lot of time just organizing the different sections so we can actually find things when we need them. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little bit near the back door during the heavy monsoon season. It is just a regular work day for us here.
