Primer Wood Crafts

Our shop is over on Radha Kristo Sett Street, right in the middle of a very old part of the city. If you know the area, you know how tight the streets are, especially when a delivery van is trying to get through. We do all our woodworking right here. The smell of fresh shavings and glue is pretty much constant in the building. It’s an old place with high ceilings, and we’ve tried to make the best of the space we have. Most of the time, the floor is covered in wood scraps and sawdust, no matter how much we sweep it up. We make things like frames and small furniture pieces, mostly for people nearby who want something solid. It’s just me and a couple of other guys who have been doing this for years. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just write down orders in a big ledger and hope we can read our own handwriting later. Sometimes a customer brings in a photo of something they want us to copy, and we do our best with the tools we have. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. The street gets very lively in the evenings, so we usually close up then and head home. It’s been this way for a long time, and we like the routine of it.
