Special Leather Arts

Our workshop is tucked away on 9/3- B Topsia Road South. If you’ve ever walked down this part of town, you know it smells like leather and hard work. Special Leather Arts isn't a place with glass windows and air conditioning. It’s a real working space where we handle different kinds of hides and tools all day long. The floor usually has scraps of leather and thread scattered around because we’re always right in the middle of something. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The building is old and the street outside is always busy with cycles and people moving goods. We don’t really do fancy advertising or anything. People usually find us because they heard about us from someone else or they just saw the sign while passing by Topsia Road South. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running at full speed. We do a lot of the cutting and stitching by hand right here on the heavy wooden tables. It’s a bit noisy with the machines going, but we’re used to it. Sometimes the light isn't the best in the back corner, so we have to move closer to the door to see the fine details. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders as they come. It’s a simple setup, but it’s ours and we know every inch of this room. We just keep working and hope the rain doesn't leak through the roof again.
