You can find Art-O Graphy down at No. 7 Bhagawan Banerjee Lane. It’s a quiet little lane if you compare it to the main roads around here. We have been working out of this space for quite some time. The building is old and has a lot of character, even if the walls need a bit of paint now and then. We do photography but we try to keep it a bit more artistic. That’s why we picked the name. It’s not just about pointing a camera and clicking. We spend a lot of time thinking about how the light hits the floor or the way someone is standing. We don't have a big team. It’s just a couple of us who really like the process of making an image. Our studio is filled with old frames and bits of props we’ve found at local markets. It looks a bit cluttered to most people but we know where everything is. People come to us when they want something a bit different from the usual studio shots. We don't have a fixed price list for everything because every job is a bit different. We just talk it out and see what works for everyone. Sometimes we go out to the lane to take photos because the light there is really nice in the late afternoon. It’s a simple life and we enjoy the work we do here. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a small local studio.
