Over here in Howrah, not too far from the Santragachi area, is where Anish Photography sits. It’s a bit of a trek if you aren't familiar with the small lanes around here, but it's a good spot once you finally find it. We’ve got cameras and tripods scattered all over the place. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside when it's dry, so we spend a lot of time wiping down lenses and screens. Being near Santragachi means there’s always a bit of a bustle around us. We’ve taken photos of so many families and events over the years. It’s mostly just us looking through viewfinders or sitting at the computer editing the day's shots. It isn't some high-end studio with velvet curtains, just a practical space where we work. We have some old frames on the wall that show how things used to look around this part of town. The lighting can be tricky depending on the time of day, but we manage with what we have. People stop by to pick up their prints and we end up talking about the weather or the local news. It’s a quiet life in a way, even with the noise of Howrah right outside the door. We handle our equipment carefully because it’s our livelihood. If you walk past, you might hear the shutter clicking or see someone posing by the backdrop. It’s just a normal day at the shop for us.
