Leather Life International

Our workshop is at No. 47 South Tangra Road. If you know the area, you know it has a long history with leather. We are just one of the many places along this road. Our building is nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just work benches and piles of material. We have been working with leather for a long time and we don't really know how to do anything else. The process is slow and we don't try to rush it. We cut the pieces by hand mostly because we like the control it gives us. The floor is always covered in tiny leather scraps and thread. We sweep it up at the end of the week, but by Monday it’s back to how it was. South Tangra Road is a busy place, and there is always something happening outside the door. We have a few regulars who stop by to see what we are making. We don't have a catalog or a website with pretty pictures. People just see what we are working on when they walk in. Sometimes we have a radio playing old songs while we work. It keeps the mood light when we have a lot of repetitive tasks to do. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in our own way. We keep it honest and stay focused on the leather.
