Shri Ram Kirana

Shri Ram Kirana is my little grocery shop on Thakurbari Road. We are very close to the Thakurbari Temple, so it’s easy to find us if you’re heading that way. I’ve lived around here for a long time. The shop has all the basic things like rice, pulses, and oil. It’s a bit cramped inside because I try to fit as much as I can on the shelves. Sometimes things get a little dusty, but I try my best to keep it clean. People from the neighborhood come here for their daily needs. It’s not just about selling things, I know most of my customers by name. We talk about the local news or how the kids are doing in school. Being near the temple means we get a lot of people passing by on festival days. It gets really crowded then. I handle the counter myself most of the time. My son helps out when he isn't busy. We don't have a computer for bills, just a notebook where I write things down. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. Thakurbari Road is a nice place to have a shop. It feels like home. I hope to keep the shop going for many more years. It's a simple life, and I’m quite content with it.
