If you ever find yourself in the Kashipur Bazar area of Kolkata, you might come across Riya Variety Stores. We are right in the middle of the market rush, so there is always something going on outside our door. This is a place where we sell a whole range of items, from small household goods to basic supplies that people need daily. The bazar is a noisy place, and our shop is no different. We have bags and boxes piled up, and sometimes it feels like we are running out of space, but we manage to fit it all in. We aren't a big chain store with matching uniforms. Most days we are just wearing our regular clothes and helping whoever walks in. People come here because it’s easy and they know they can find what they need without a lot of fuss. We don't have a fancy display window, just the goods laid out so people can see them. Sometimes the stock is a bit disorganized after a busy morning, but we straighten it up when we get a chance. It’s a lot of work keeping a shop going in a busy market like this. We don't have a lot of time for breaks, but we like the energy of the bazar. We’ve been here for a while and plan to stay as long as the neighbors in 700135 need us for their shopping.
