Patel Bros

We’ve been here at 30, Gupta Mansion on Strand Road for quite a while now. If you know Calcutta Gpo, you know how hectic this area gets with all the traffic and people moving about. Our space isn't huge, but it gets the job done for what we do at Patel Bros. Mostly, we spend our days handling orders and talking to the folks who drop by. It’s an old building, Gupta Mansion, so it has that specific smell of old paper and dust, which I guess is just part of being in this part of town. We don’t really do fancy things here. Mostly it's just us keeping track of stock and making sure things get where they need to go. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to actually hear the street noise outside. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go around Strand Road, but we just keep showing up and doing the work. It’s not a glamorous setup by any means. There are stacks of files and boxes in the corners. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, that's easier said than done. People know where to find us if they need something. We just open up in the morning, handle the daily tasks, and head home when the sun goes down. It's a steady rhythm that works for us.
