We run Leee Leathers from No. 29/a/h-20 on Palm Aevenue. It’s a decent neighborhood and we’ve been here for a good bit of time. The building is older, but it serves our purpose well enough. We work with all kinds of leather. Sometimes the smells from the tanning and the dyes can be quite strong, but you get used to it after a few minutes. We have several heavy-duty machines for the thickest hides. The floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We keep the scraps in big bins under the tables. Palm Aevenue is usually easy to navigate, though parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We aren't a big corporation. It's just a handful of us making sure everything is done right. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just take the leather and turn it into something useful. The windows are small, so we use a lot of overhead lights to see the stitches. We get our supplies from various places and we are picky about what we buy. If the material isn't good, we don't use it. Our daily routine is pretty much the same. We come in, check what needs to be done, and we work until it’s time to head home. It’s a steady life and we like it that way.
