Pal Variety Stores

Our shop is Pal Variety Stores and we are in Bibhuti Market, Rajarhat. This is on the main road in Kolkata. It is a very busy area with a lot of people passing by all the time. Being a variety store means we have to keep a bit of everything. You will see stationery for school kids, toys, household items, and some snacks. The market is always loud and full of energy. We have been here for a long time and have seen Rajarhat grow from a quiet place into what it is today. Our shop is quite packed, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you walk in. We don't have any fancy marketing. We just put some of the new items out front so people can see them as they walk by. Kolkata summers are very humid, so we keep the fan on full speed all day. My family helps me run the place. Sometimes my son sits here after his college. We know many of our customers for years. They come in for a pen and end up talking for twenty minutes. That's just how things work here. We don't use any fancy machines, just a simple calculator and a bill book. It’s a straightforward business and we are happy to be a part of this community in Bibhuti Market. We try to keep the shelves full for everyone.
