You can find us at 2A Huzurimull Lane in Kolkata. It’s an older part of the city, and the lane itself has its own character. We’ve been operating from this location for a long time. The building is older, with high ceilings and those big windows you see in this part of town. It takes a bit of work to keep everything running smoothly. There’s always someone coming through the doors, whether it’s staff or people asking questions about the institution. We have a lot of rooms filled with desks and old cupboards full of records. Kolkata can be very loud outside with the trams and horns, but once you’re inside, it’s a bit more manageable. We don't really have the fancy modern stuff you see in the new parts of the city. We just have what we need to get the job done. The stairs can be a bit creaky and we have to watch our step. We spend our days handling all the administrative stuff that comes with running things. There’s a lot of paper moving from one desk to another. We take our tea breaks when we can and try to stay cool when it gets humid. It’s a very traditional way of working, honestly. We’ve been part of this lane for so long that we’re just part of the scenery now. It’s home for us.
