Adyapeath Annada B Ed College

Our college is found at 50, D D Mondal Ghat Road, which is right in the Dakshineswar area of Kolkata. Being so close to the famous temple and the river means the air always feels a bit different here, often humid and thick. The road outside is usually crowded with pilgrims, rickshaws, and people heading towards the ghats. Our building is a bit older, with high ceilings and heavy doors that sometimes creak when you open them. We have a lot of students who are training to be teachers, so the atmosphere is quite serious but also full of energy. The classrooms are filled with wooden chairs that have seen many years of use. We have a small common room where we sit and talk during the gaps between lectures. Kolkata's heat can be quite something in the summer, and we rely heavily on the big ceiling fans to keep the air moving. You can often hear the distant sounds of temple bells or the horns from the main road while we are in class. The office is usually stacked with files and admission forms, and there’s always a queue of people waiting to speak to someone. It’s a very local spot, and we are used to the noise and the bustle of Dakshineswar. It’s not a quiet place, but it is our place, and we have our own way of getting things done in this busy corner of the city.
