Arpita Study Center

Arpita Study Center is right on Jessore Road at number 99/55. This is the 700055 area of Kolkata, and it is a very busy stretch of road. We are quite close to Rameswar School, so there are always kids and parents walking past the door. The traffic on Jessore Road is pretty much constant, so there is a lot of honking and the smell of exhaust in the air most of the time. Our center is inside a building that is easy enough to spot if you are looking for the school first. We have a couple of rooms where the teaching happens. The furniture is just standard stuff, nothing special or particularly comfortable, but it works for a few hours of study. We keep the windows shut to try and keep some of the dust out, but it always finds a way in. Arpita spends most of her day here making sure things are running okay. It is a very practical place. There are no fancy decorations or modern art on the walls, just a few charts and calendars. We have been here for a bit, so the locals are used to seeing us. The light inside is a bit dim in the afternoons, but we have enough lamps to keep it bright enough for reading. It is just a regular study center where people come to get their work done without any distractions from the outside world, even with the busy road right there.
