Advance Education

Our spot is in Natagarh Ramkrishna Pally, over in the Pansila area of Kolkata. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, which is actually quite nice because it stays a little quieter for the students while they work. We have been here for some time now, and the local families know us as the place where the kids go after school. The building is just a regular house that we have turned into a space for teaching. We have a couple of rooms with benches and some old fans that hum while we work. It is not the kind of place you see in glossy advertisements. It is just a practical space where we sit down and get through the syllabus. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the summer months, but we manage. The kids bring their own water bottles and we just get to work on the lessons. We do not have a lot of extra stuff around, just the books and the blackboard. It is a very local feel here. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood, like people talking outside or a dog barking, but inside we try to keep it focused. Most of our students live just a few streets away, so they usually walk or come on their cycles. It is a simple life we have here, just helping out with education in our little corner of the city. We like the pace of it.
