You can find us over at 6/D Sidhyanthapara in the Nonachandanpukur area of Kolkata. We’ve been running the Abss Institute Of Higher Education for several years now. It’s a place where students come to learn and hopefully get a better start in life. The building is usually full of noise from the classrooms and people chatting in the hallways. We have a small staff who handles the admissions and the teaching. It’s not a massive university, just a local institute trying to provide some decent classes. The 700122 zip code is where we belong. We deal with a lot of paperwork, especially during the start of a new term. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud in the summer heat, but we get through the lessons anyway. Most of our students are from the nearby neighborhoods in Kolkata. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, but we have enough to get the point across. The teachers here really care about the subjects they talk about. We spend our days grading papers and planning what to cover next. It’s a lot of work to keep an educational place running, but it feels good to see people actually learning something new. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized. If you come by the office, you will likely see us sorting through enrollment forms or talking to parents about the upcoming semester. It's just normal life here.
