Ultra Craft Leathers

You can find us over at 1A New Kasia Bagan Lane, which is in the Champdanga Muktarpur area. We have been working with leather here at Ultra Craft Leathers for a long time. The air in the workshop usually smells like hides and polish, which is something you just get used to after a while. Our lane is small and not everyone knows where it is at first, but we like the quiet atmosphere. Most of the day is spent cutting, sewing, and checking the quality of the leather we receive. It is dusty work and your hands definitely get dirty, but that is just the nature of this craft. We do not have a big showroom or any fancy displays. It is mostly just a workshop where the actual making happens. There are a few of us who have been doing this for years, so the process is something we know inside out. We just try to make things that are going to last. The building is old but it works well for what we need. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to chat while we are busy. It is a simple life and the way we run the business reflects that. We don't use fancy talk or complicated plans. We just focus on the material and making sure each piece is right before it goes out. It's tough on the fingers, but it is good work.
