Narmada High School

Narmada High School is located right across from the Tollygunge ITI on Chandi Ghosh Road. If you know the Regent Park area, you probably know where we are. It’s a busy spot with lots of cars and people moving around all day long. The school itself is a solid building, number 67 on the street. We’ve had generations of kids come through these doors. Some of the parents were students here themselves back in the day. It’s funny how that works. The hallway walls have some scuffs from bags hitting them, and the playground isn't huge, but it’s enough for the kids to run around a bit during their free time. We have a lot of stairs, which keeps everyone active. The bells are loud, you can hear them all the way down the block when the day is over. It’s not a quiet library type of place; it’s usually full of talking and the sound of footsteps. We don't have a big sign with a bunch of promises on it. We just open the gates in the morning and do what we’re supposed to do until the afternoon. The tea stall nearby is where a lot of the staff goes after the final bell. It’s just a regular local school trying to keep things moving along for the neighborhood kids. We see the same faces every day and that’s how we like it.
