Medinaz Academy (Opc) Private Limited is run out of Mr. Rasul Ali Mondal’s house, which is number N0013 in Baganhati. If you know the Gopalpur Basirhat area, you know it’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but it’s home for us. Being in North 24 Parganas, specifically this part of West Bengal, means we see a lot of local faces every day. The academy is just a few rooms set aside for teaching. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby. It’s just a house where we do our work. Sometimes you can hear the birds outside while we’re going over lessons. We focus on getting the basics right for our students. Rasul Ali is usually around if anyone needs anything. We started this because there weren’t many options for learning right here in Baganhati. We have some wooden chairs and a chalkboard, and that’s about it. People come by after their work in the fields or other jobs. It feels more like a community gathering than a big school. We don't use big words or try to act like we're something we aren't. We’re just local people trying to share what we know. The postman knows us well since we get a lot of mail at this house number. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We keep things quiet so as not to bother the rest of the house.
