Mam Leather International

If you walk down Kustia Masjid Bari Lane, you will find us at number 8. It is one of those narrow spots where you have to watch your step because there is always something going on. Mam Leather International has been part of this neighborhood for a long time. The smell of processed leather is just part of the air here, and we don't even notice it anymore. Our space is mostly taken up by rolls of material and the tools we use every day. It is not a showroom. It is a place where work actually happens. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy sorting through skins or checking orders to worry about that. My brother and I usually start the day early before the sun gets too hot. We have a few guys who have been with us for years, and they know exactly how things should be done. Sometimes we sit on the wooden stools outside the door to catch a bit of a breeze and talk to the neighbors. It is a simple setup, really. We don't have fancy computers or a big sign out front. Most people find us because they know the lane or someone told them where we are. We just focus on getting the leather ready and making sure it goes out on time. It is a lot of hard work and dusty hands, but it’s what we do.
