Our workshop is at 69 Topsia Road. Being on such a famous road for leather means there’s always people walking by looking for something specific. Even though we called ourselves Leather King, we’re a pretty humble operation. The shop is basically one large room filled to the brim with rolls of leather. We’ve been here for quite a few years and the place has a bit of character to it now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fans squeak a little when they’re on high, but it’s our home. We don't have a polished sales team or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll just see us in our everyday clothes, probably moving some heavy bundles around. The smell of the hides is quite heavy, especially when the weather is humid. We have a small desk tucked into the corner where we keep our notebooks and the phone, but most of the time we’re on our feet. The traffic on Topsia Road is constant, so there’s a steady background noise of engines and shouting. We’ve gotten used to the pace of it. We don't spend money on advertising because word of mouth in this area is usually enough. We just try to keep a good variety of stuff on the shelves so that when someone asks for something odd, we might actually have it buried somewhere in the back.
