We are situated at 14 Rowdon Street. It’s a well-known address in a busy part of the city. The school has a very long history, and you can see it in the way the building is constructed. We have large rooms with high ceilings, which helps a bit when it gets humid. Every morning, the street outside gets packed with cars and rickshaws as the girls arrive. It’s a bit of a scramble to get everyone inside the gates on time. Once the gates are closed, it feels a bit more secluded. We have a courtyard where the students gather for assembly. We have a lot of traditions that we still follow, which keeps things feeling very grounded. The teachers have been here for years and they know exactly how everything works. We spend our days going from one classroom to another. There is always the sound of someone practicing an instrument or the hum of a lesson going on. We have a lot of books and old records in our office. It’s a very busy environment, and there is always something happening, like a sports day or a play being rehearsed. We don't go for anything too modern or flashy. We just like the way things have always been done here. It is a lot of work to keep such a big school running smoothly, but we have a good routine down.
