Kids Paradise School

The Kids Paradise School is located at 356, Kalikapur Road. It is a busy street, so there is always something going on right outside our front door. We have been in this building for a while, and it has become a familiar part of the Kalikapur neighborhood. The school itself is spread across a couple of floors. We have the younger kids on the ground level and the older ones further up. The stairs are a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when everyone is moving between classes. Inside the rooms, we have bookshelves filled with various storybooks and old textbooks that have been handed down. The walls are covered in student drawings and some maps of India that are starting to curl at the edges. We don't have fancy air conditioning in every room, so the ceiling fans are a big part of our daily life. The staff room is just a small corner with a table and a few chairs where we keep our records. We try to keep the place tidy, but with kids, there is always a bit of clutter, like stray pencils or forgotten water bottles. It’s an honest sort of place where we just focus on the basics of teaching and looking after the kids until their parents come to pick them up in the afternoon. It feels like a very normal, everyday part of the city for all of us.
