Kids Kingdom Convent School Singhewala

Being near the Shahid Khudiram Metro Station means there is always people moving around outside. Kids Kingdom Convent School Singhewala is at number 56. You can hear the metro trains every now and then, which the kids actually seem to enjoy. The school building is quite traditional. We have high ceilings and the rooms are quite big compared to some other places. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many kids running around, there’s always a bit of dust or a stray toy on the floor. The morning assembly is done in the main hall. It’s a bit loud when everyone is trying to sing at the same time. We have a small staff who handles everything from teaching to cleaning up after snack time. The uniforms get a bit messy by the end of the day, especially when they go out to play in the yard. It’s a practical sort of place. We don’t have air conditioning, just the big windows and the fans. Parents usually wait outside the gate under the shade of the trees when it’s time to go home. We’ve had families coming to us for years, with older siblings finishing up and then the younger ones starting. It feels like a small community here. Most of the day is just spent making sure they are busy and not getting into too much trouble with each other. It’s not perfect but we do our best every single day to keep things running smoothly.
