Kids Cambridge School

Kids Cambridge School is tucked away in Parnasree Pally, over at Reddy House on Upendranath Banerjee Road. If you know this part of Kolkata, you know it’s a residential area where things feel a bit more quiet than the main city spots. We have been running things here for the local children for quite some time. It is a regular house converted into a learning space, which gives it a more homely feel than those big, cold buildings. Every morning the parents drop off their little ones at the gate, and the street gets a bit crowded for a half hour or so. We deal with small kids, so there is usually a lot of noise, crying sometimes, and plenty of laughing. The rooms aren't massive, but they fit the desks and the play areas just fine. We have local staff who have been with us for years, so everyone knows each other’s names. It is not about being flashy; we just make sure the kids have a place to sit and learn their basic lessons. The monsoon season makes the road a bit muddy, but we manage. Inside, it’s just chairs, tables, and walls covered in drawings the children made. We don't use big words or have fancy titles. It is just a neighborhood school where we try to look after the kids and teach them what they need to know before they grow up and move to bigger schools.
