Ketarin Public School

You can find us at 7 Kaliprasanna Chatterjee Lane, which is tucked away in the Behala neighborhood. We are a public school, so we get a real mix of kids from all over this part of Kolkata. The lane is narrow and can get pretty busy, especially when school starts and ends. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a solid place where we’ve been teaching for a long time. We don't use any fancy marketing language to describe ourselves. We are just a local school doing what we can. The classrooms are simple with benches and blackboards. Sometimes the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the learning doesn't stop because of that. We don't have a big budget for extras. Most of our focus is on the basic lessons and making sure the kids are actually showing up. The teachers here are just regular people who live in or around Behala. They know the families and the local problems. It’s not a polished or corporate environment at all. We have our fair share of chaotic days, but that's what happens when you have a lot of students in one place. We just try to keep things moving and make sure every kid gets their turn to learn. It’s honest work and we’ve been at it for years.
