Keshavareddy Public School

Keshavareddy Public School is located at 28/2 Gariahat Road (S) in the Dhakuria area of Kolkata. If you know South Kolkata, you know how busy Gariahat Road can get. There is a constant stream of buses, autos, and people shopping at the stalls nearby. The school sits right in the heart of all that action. The building is a typical urban structure, squeezed into the available space. Inside, it is a bit of a maze with different floors and classrooms tucked away. We have been operating here for a long time, and many families in Dhakuria have sent their children to us over the years. It is a noisy environment because of the traffic outside, but we have mostly learned to tune it out. The rooms are basic, just enough space for the desks and the teacher's table. We don't have a big open playground, so the kids have to be a bit more contained during their breaks. The teachers are mostly local residents who walk or take a short rickshaw ride to get here. We don't put on any airs or graces; it is just a straightforward public school. Every day is about getting through the lessons and making sure the kids are safe and learning. It is a bit cramped and old-fashioned, but it is our school and it serves the local 700031 community well. We keep things simple here.
