Kerla Model High School

We are located at 159 Sarat Bose Road. It’s a well-known street in the Kalighat area, and the school has been a fixture here for quite some time. The building stands right on the main road, so you see it every time you pass by. Inside, things are pretty straightforward. We have the usual rows of desks and the teachers use a lot of chalk. It gets a bit dusty, but that’s just how it is. The students come in early, and by 4:00 PM, the place is empty again. We have a lot of stairs, which keeps everyone fit, I suppose. The staff room is a bit cramped, especially when we are all trying to eat lunch at the same time. We have a small library, though it's mostly textbooks and some old storybooks the kids have donated over the years. We don't have a big fancy sign, just a simple one above the entrance. Most people find us through word of mouth. The neighbors are used to the sound of the bell ringing throughout the day. We try to keep things organized, but with kids, there’s always something happening, like a broken window or a lost lunchbox. It’s a very local kind of place. We focus on the lessons and making sure the exams happen on time. That’s really the main thing we do here. There isn't much more to it than that, just keeping the school running day by day.
