Ken -Crest The Global School

Ken -Crest The Global School is found at 3 Chowringhee Terrace in the Bhawanipur area. It sits on Lala Lajpat Rai Sarani, which is a place that sees a lot of movement throughout the day. The building is an older style, which gives the classrooms a bit of character that you don’t always find in newer constructions. We don’t really go in for a lot of the modern corporate style of running a school. It is more about the daily interaction between the people here. You’ll find that the hallways are usually full of the sounds of children talking or teachers going through their notes. Being in Bhawanipur means we are right in the heart of a very traditional part of Kolkata. The neighborhood has a specific feel to it, and we are just one part of that local fabric. We don't have a glossy website with staged photos. What you see is pretty much what you get—a place where kids spend their day learning the basics and preparing for their futures. The commute is fairly easy because of the location, although the road can get jammed during peak hours. We try to maintain a steady environment where everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. It’s not about being the most famous place; it’s just about doing the job of schooling well enough so that the students are ready for whatever comes next. We keep the gates open and the lights on, just doing the work day in and day out.
