Kedartala Dakshinpara Junior High School.

Kedartala Dakshinpara Junior High School is located right on Gariahat Road. Being at 5 A means we are right in the thick of things with all the shops and people. The traffic outside is constant and loud, but once you get inside the building, it settles down a little bit. We have students who are just starting to grow up, that junior high age where they have too much energy. The school itself is quite simple. We have the usual classrooms with heavy wooden desks that have seen better days. You can clearly see where students have carved their names into the wood over the years. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a place for learning. The teachers walk in from the nearby bus stops and start their day early with a cup of tea. There is a lot of chatter during the breaks, and the small courtyard gets a bit crowded. We spend a lot of time looking for missing chalk or fixing a chair that has a wobbly leg. It is just the way a local school runs. The walls have a few old charts hanging up that have turned yellow from the sun. We like the location because it’s easy for everyone to reach. It might be a bit loud outside with the cars, but we are used to it. It feels like a real part of the community.
