Kds School Keriya Kalan

Our school is tucked away on the 3rd floor of Suraiya Court at 187 Park Street. This part of Kolkata, near Park Circus, is always full of life and noise, so there is never a dull moment outside our doors. Since we are on the third floor, we are a bit away from the street level, but the sounds of the city still drift up through the windows. The building is one of those older structures with a lot of character, even if it has some cracks here and there in the plaster. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to be very organized with how we use our rooms for the different classes. We aren't a big, wealthy school with a lot of extra money for decorations or fancy furniture. Everything we have is focused on the students and their books. The lift in the building works most of the time, but it’s small, so people often end up walking up the stairs. It’s a good workout for everyone involved. Our staff is small and we all know the students pretty well by name. We don't use any corporate talk or try to sell ourselves to anyone. We are just here to provide a place for kids in this neighborhood to get their education. Sometimes the traffic makes things difficult, but we just adapt and keep the classes going as best as we can every day of the week.
