K. S. M. Leder Hubb

Our shop is at F-D/67 on Rajdanga Main Road. It’s fairly easy to spot if you’re driving by the main road. We do a lot of leather work here, which is why we went with the name K. S. M. Leder Hubb. The strong smell of leather is the very first thing you notice when you walk through the door. Some people really love that smell, and some people find it a bit too strong for them. I’ve grown very used to it over the years. I have some old hand tools that my father gave me a long time ago, and they still work much better than the new ones I bought last year. We make bags and belts and other small leather items. It’s very slow work because you simply can't rush leather. If you make one mistake with the knife, it shows forever. I sit at my wooden bench for most of the day with a small lamp. The traffic outside on Rajdanga Main Road is pretty loud most of the time, but I usually have some music playing to drown it out. We don't have a big staff here, just me and a young guy from the neighborhood who is learning the trade. He’s a bit clumsy still with the needles, but he’s getting there. We don't do much with the internet or online selling. Most of our customers just see the sign outside and come in to look.
