You can find us at 92 S. P. Mukherjee Road in the heart of Kolkata. This is a very busy part of the city, with the sound of trams and buses always in the background. The college is an old institution, and it has seen a lot of history. Being a women’s college, it is a place where girls from all over West Bengal come to study. The building is quite classic, with high ceilings and wide stairs. It gets crowded in the corridors between classes. Students are always rushing to the library or sitting on the steps talking. We offer many different subjects in arts and science. The professors are usually busy with their lectures or grading papers in the staff room. Living and studying in Kolkata means you get used to the rain and the humidity. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to close the windows just to hear the lecture. It is a very lively atmosphere here. There is always something happening, whether it is a small seminar or students preparing for their annual exams. We do not have a big campus with grass, just the urban streets of South Kolkata right outside our door. It is a place for serious study but also for making friends. We have been here for many years and keep things running day after day.
