Our place is at number 58 in Jodhpur Park. It is a bit different from the other houses and buildings around here because we do tannery work. There is usually a very specific smell of leather and processing items in the air when you get close to our gate. It is a serious business and the floors in the back are often wet or covered in small scraps of material. We have a few big machines that hum all day long, and sometimes they make a bit too much noise for the neighbors. The office part is just a small room near the front with a couple of old wooden desks and some filing cabinets that don't always open easily when you pull them. We spend our days checking the hides and making sure the process is moving along at the right speed. It is not very clean work, and our hands are usually stained by the time our shift ends. We don't have a fancy lobby or anyone to greet you at the door when you walk in. Most of the time, we are out back in the processing area keeping an eye on things. We have been at this Jodhpur Park location for a good while now, so we know the local tea stall guy and the general rhythm of the street. It is a practical setup for the kind of work we do. We just focus on getting the leather ready.
