Jadavpur Vidyapith

We are located right on Raja Subodh Mullick Rd, very close to Jadavpur University. It’s a well-known area and we’ve been part of it for quite some time. The school gets a lot of its character from the neighborhood. There’s always people moving around and the sound of the city is always in the background. Our building is pretty traditional and we like it that way. It has high ceilings and big windows, though they can be a bit dusty sometimes. We don't go in for anything too modern or flashy. The teachers here just focus on their subjects and getting through the syllabus. It’s a lot of chalk and talk, honestly. Students come from all over this part of Kolkata. Sometimes the rainy season makes the commute a bit of a mess, but everyone still shows up. We have a bit of a yard where kids can run around, but it’s not huge. Mostly, it’s about the books and the lessons. We don't spend much time on fancy marketing or anything like that. We just have our doors open for the families who want their kids to go here. It’s a busy, sometimes cramped, but very real place. You can hear the trams and the buses outside while the kids are working on their sums. It’s just life in Jadavpur and we are happy to be a part of it.
